One of the most common things we heard during testing was some permutation of "I don't get the Rock, Paper, Scissors thing". We've heard you, and our Equipment are now called Electro, Geo, and Pyro. This was really the last placeholder piece of the game, and for such a central element, it shouldn't have lasted this long. Hope you dig!
In addition to changing the names of our Equipment types, we also finally got back to reworking cards. The first thing we did was double the amount of trap cards in the game from three to six. Traps are one of the best aspects of the game, but they just weren't happening enough. Overall, I think this will make players more wary of facedown cards, and hopefully it will force some strategic plays with our few anti-trap cards.
Here's the first of the new traps we added -
It's a 0/4 trap that ends your opponents turn when it triggers. It has some harsh consequences if a player attacks it early in their turn, especially if they are looking to buy cores or use their pilot, but it's also easily played around if you can read your opponent.
We made a ton of updates to the game this week that we're really excited to share with everyone. I'm going to reveal all these changes soon in a "patch notes" post, so stay tuned, and make sure to let us know what you think!
